CREATION OF THE SUBSIDIARY BOUREGREG CULTURE

As part of the implementation of the contractprogram No. 2, the Agency was responsible for carrying two large equipment to raise Rabat to the level of the great cultural capitals around the Mediterranean: the Grand Theatre in Rabat the National Museum of Archaeology and Earth Sciences.

Socio-cultural space and sector through excellence, the future Grand Theatre in Rabat will be built on an area of ​​7 hectares and will offer a multipurpose cultural space that will host a large auditorium, an amphitheater and several accompanying equipment. The Grand Theatre will require a budget of 1.67 billion dirhams.

The Museum of Archaeology and Earth Sciences, meanwhile will be built on an area of ​​3.5 hectares and will include spaces for permanent and temporary exhibitions, an auditorium, a library, and the museum sets for science of the earth. The total project cost is estimated at 300 million dirhams.

To optimize future implementation and management of these two structural facilities, the Agency for the Development of the Bouregreg Valley was authorized by its Board of Directors and the Ministry of Finance to create a subsidiary dedicated to the implementation and the operation of this equipment, the Bouregreg Cultural Company.

Bouregreg Culture has actually been created by Decree No. 2-15-245 of 17 April 2015. It will have an initial capital of 300 million dirhams.
